GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina guard P.J. Hairston will be a game-time decision for Saturday's Atlantic Coast Conference semifinal against Maryland with a hand injury.
The school says his status will depend on how he feels in warmups.
He needed eight stitches to close a wound on his left hand in Friday night's quarterfinal win over Florida State.
He hurt the webbing between the middle and ring fingers on his left hand with about 4 minutes left when the ball became jammed between his fingers and blood spilled onto the court.
Hairston had 21 points when he left. The Tar Heels are 7-2 since they made him a starter and went to a four-guard lineup.
