Marshall is top player in D2 tournament

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Shaker Heights Hathaway Brown's Nia Marshall, who set a division championship game record with 18 rebounds to go with her 17 points, is the most outstanding player on the Associated Press Division II all-tournament team.

Marshall led the way as the Blazers won a record fifth consecutive state championship.

She totaled 31 points and 27 rebounds in the two games.

The senior was joined on the team by teammates Vanessa Smith (21 points in the semifinals and title game) and Stephanie Solano (20 points); Millersburg West Holmes' Laina Snyder (34 points, 25 rebounds in two games); and Clyde's Amanda Cahill (16 points, 9 rebounds in a semifinal loss).
