Lamy Chappuis edges Frenzel in Nordic combined

ARE, Sweden (AP) -- Jason Lamy Chappuis of France won the last Nordic combined World Cup of the season when beat Eric Frenzel of Germany by 0.4 seconds at Holmenkollen on Saturday.

Little separated the sport's two outstanding skiers after two jumps off the large hill and a 15-kilometer cross-country race.

After three straight years as the overall winner, Lamy Chappuis conceded the title to Frenzel, who surged in the second half of the season with six wins and two runner-ups in the last eight races.

Wilhelm Denifl of Austria was third on Saturday.
