LONDON (AP) -- Carlos Tevez put Manchester City on the road to Wembley with an FA Cup hat trick on Saturday, two days after being arrested for a driving offense.
The Argentine forward also played a part in goals by Aleksandar Kolarov and David Silva as City routed Barnsley 5-0 to reach the semifinals.
Tevez's goals came while he is out on bail after being arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
Wigan also will be playing at Wembley next month, reaching the semifinals for the first time in its 81-year history. Maynor Figueroa, Callum McManaman and Jordi Gomez scored in a 3-0 win at Everton, which started Jan Mucha in goal because American Tim Howard is sidelined by two broken bones in his back.
But Wigan dropped into the Premier League relegation zone when Aston Villa and American goalkeeper Brad Guzan won 2-1 at Reading.
With a game in hand, Wigan (6-16-6) is three points behind Villa (6-14-9) but a point above Reading (5-16-8) and last-place Queens Park Rangers (4-14-11), which beat Sunderland 3-1 to win consecutive games for the first time this season.
While EPL survival is the priority for owner Dave Whelan, a trip to Wembley could give him happier memories of the national stadium. Whelan's playing career ended when he broke a leg playing for Blackburn in the 1960 FA Cup final.
"It has been an absolutely wonderful day. In the first half we skinned Everton alive," Whelan said.
In Sunday's quarterfinals, Chelsea is at Manchester United and Millwall hosts Blackburn.
