CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) -- Laurent Rivard scored 17 points and Siyani Chambers added 16 on Saturday night as Harvard beat Cornell 65-56 to clinch at least a share of the Ivy League title.
The Crimson (19-9, 11-3 Ivy) would win the conference outright with a Princeton loss, either to Brown later Saturday or to Penn on Tuesday night. Otherwise, Harvard and Princeton (16-10, 9-3) would meet in a one-game tiebreaker, reportedly planned for Philadelphia's Palestra, for the conference's NCAA tournament berth.
The Ivy League is the only conference that awards its automatic bid to the regular-season champion.
Miles Asafo-Adjei scored 15 points and Errick Peck had 14 with eight rebounds for Cornell (13-18, 5-9).
