MOSCOW (AP) -- Russian race walker Sergei Morozov has received a lifetime ban for a second doping offense.
Russia's track and field federation says the suspension was imposed because of "abnormal indicators" in Morozov's blood. No further details were given.
The penalty also nullifies his results starting from Feb. 25, 2011.
Morozov, a former European junior champion and world youth champion, was suspended for two years in 2008 after testing positive for EPO. He returned to competition in 2010.
In 2008, Morozov won a 20-kilometer race in Saransk, Russia, in 1:16:43. That was potentially a world-record time, but it was not certified due to lack of doping control at the event.
