NEW YORK (AP) -- There was a lot of buzz after Rebecca Minkoff's runway show during New York Fashion Week -- not just for her colorful casual clothes infused with a Latin American vibe, but also for the live music by Janelle Monae and her band. Minkoff, who is especially popular with younger women, also got raves for her dramatic patterned gladiator heels, and her ankle booties adorned with multi-colored tassels. "Aren't they the sickest things EVER?" gushed Minkoff's friend Kelly Osbourne, who attended the show and hosted an event afterward, part of the American Express Unstaged program, that included a second Monae performance and an interview with Minkoff. The entire event was live streamed.
In these photos provided by Minkoff, the designer shows us the preparations that go into a runway show: Model fittings, choosing outfits, reviewing details down to the nail art, deciding on the models' hairstyles, and post-show Q&A with Osbourne and Minkoff.
