HOUSTON (AP) -- Closing arguments will soon begin in the trial of a Houston woman accused of stabbing to death her boyfriend with the 5½-inch stiletto heel of her shoe.
Ana Trujillo (troo-HEE'-yoh) is accused of striking 59-year-old Alf Stefan Andersson at least 25 times in the face with her shoe during an argument in June at his Houston condominium. Her attorneys say she was defending herself from an attack by Andersson.
Two rebuttal witnesses for prosecutors told jurors Tuesday that Trujillo had assaulted them in their home two weeks before Andersson's death.
With testimony concluded, closing arguments were expected later Tuesday morning. Jurors would likely begin deliberating Tuesday afternoon.
Defense attorneys rested their case Monday.
Trujillo faces up to life in prison if she is convicted of murder.
