Girl Scout Troop Donates Rain Barrel

Brownie Troop 90518 Published:

We are Brownie Girl Scout Troop 90518.  We donated a rain barrel to the City of Hudson for Veteren's Way Park.  We purchased the barrel from with the money we earned from our cookie sale last year.  The barrel will catch rain to help reduce water run off and flooding.  We think people should order rain barrels to put outside of their homes.  We did this to earn our Wonder of Water badge.  We learned about the water cycle from a trip to the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center.  We also learned a lot from presentations given by Sandy Barbic from Summit Soil and Water Conservation and by Eric Hutchins from the Hudson Parks department.  We would like to thank Ms. Barbic and Mr. Hutchins for helping us learn about rain.  We would also like to thank you, the community of Hudson, for reading about our water adventure.  Sincerely, Troop 90518 (Eve, Ava K., Paige H., Carly, Megan, Emmie, Ava C., Emma, Lindsey, Paige S., Gracie, and Amelia)
